(WEM) at FBCJ
serves to walk alongside the women of the Church by offering
them support and fellowship; encouraging them toward maturity in
Christ through Bible study,
missions, discipleship, mentoring and worship; by guiding them in
identifying their spiritual gifts for God’s ministry; and by
networking with the various other ministries of FBCJ to utilize
these gifts to serve
our Lord Jesus Christ.

As additional support for the Sunday School classes, the Congregational
Care staff and a loving representative of FBCJ offer help
by making contact with the family by phone or in person, delivering
paper goods. We offer a luncheon (no cooking involved) to be
served at the Chruch, either prior to or following the funeral.
This luncheon is served by one of six rotating teams on our
committee. |

Hungry Hearts Ministry groups are designed to
give women an opportunity to gain strength from a group as
they work together through similar life circumstances. These small
groups are
centered on Bible study and also provide fellowship and encouragement
on a monthly basis. Currently there are five special interest
groups, but other groups may be formed throughout the year.
- Healing Hearts focus on the journey
one takes after losing a child.
- Hopeful Hearts is for women who
have experienced infertility and/or pregnancy loss. This group gives
women a chance to develop friendshps and offer encouragement.
- Heavenly Hearts focuses on the
journey for the young to middle aged woman who has lost her husband.
- Heritage Hearts is for mothers
of children with learning challenges.
- Hallowed Hearts encourages, empower,
and equip the working woman for use as a holy vessel that they may
bring glory to Jesus Christ in the home and at work.
